The Strength & Struggles of a Latina

hello dolls,

Today i wanna touch on a very serious topic. Something that i don't
think to many people know about but before i talk about that i
wanted to address that even though im about to talk about Latina
women & their struggle & strength just remember no matter
what race or color you r. if you have a pussy between your legs that
off rip makes you a strong & very beautiful creature.
But let me ask  you ladies something Did you know that
1 in 3 Latinas in the U.S are being abused by a partner? Do you realize
that means nearly 9 million women? & thats ONLY in the U.S! Not to
mention this abuse is a normal act in their countries. Immigrant
women suffer even higher rates & 3x's as many Latinas visit the
Emergency room for Domestic violence injuries then do white women!
While violence cuts across all ethnicities, Theres evidence
that Latinas are suffering more & seeking help less often
Now your probably thinking well their dumb for not leaving
their boyfriend/husband but come on ladies you know how
women think. Now if they have kids they r probably gonna think
"Well maybe i should stay for my children or
What will i tell my children" or some think its their fault they
were abused like "I know he's like this, so i shouldn't
have said that anyway"  when thats not the case! Ladies understand
that no matter what IT IS NEVER EVER YOUR FAULT!!
So what if you said something to piss him off so the fuck what
that doesn't give him the right to beat you or rape you!
Some Latina women are raised to believe that "Once you're
in a marriage, you stay in that marriage" so going to their
parents or in-laws about the abuse problem did nothing
they were NOT the least bit sympathetic, since they grew up
in Catholic cultures where divorce was taboo & machismo
was the norm. If traditionally minded parents see "that the man
is a good provider, they think of him as a good man"
There have been cases where mothers have disowned their
daughters for divorcing an abuser calling it "a disgrace
to the family" As for the undocumented women as in
the "illegal immigrants" the pressure goes beyond the
culture "Abusers tell women, You can't disclose what's happening
because you'll get deported" or abusers will convince women
their only route to a green card is through them.
In much of Latina America, raping your wife was legal
until the 1990's & police there often send battered women back
to their abusers to kiss & make up. -_- Women will talk
to their friends about the abuse but won't tell the police
but i mean damn do you blame them? Shit where their
from the police evidently dont give a fuck smfh.
There are some women that are being abused that won't
admit to themselves they are being abused because they
think "This isn't happening to me, it can't be" But my lovely
lady it is & you need to stand up & be the strong woman i know
your are. The good news is since their has been many Foundations
reaching out to these women there has been a jump in the
number of Latinas reporting violence to authorities.

Studies show that the most dangerous moment in an abusive
relationship is when a woman tries to leave so ladies no matter
what race you are follow these simple safety tips when escaping.

WHAT TO HAVE:
* a safe place to go

*social security card
